Quotidian - finding inspiration in everyday design

Between the May 13 – 26 Cybèle along with ten other New Zealand design practitioners will be participating in Quotidian, an exhibition at Objectspace curated by Matthew Blomeley.
Each designer has provided an example of everyday design, uncovering how design ideas are recycled, leveraged, refined and can in turn inspire new design.

They will each showcase this everyday design object alongside an object of their own design and write about their understandings – and discoveries – brought about through considering the vices and virtues of “everyday‟ objects.

Participants featuring in Quotidian alongside Cybèle include industrial / product designers Matthew von Sturmer and Katy Wallace; design studio Alt. Group; graphic designer Jonty Valentine; architect Nat Cheshire.

Opening on May 15th, the show runs till May 26th at Objectspace, 8 Ponsonby Road, Auckland.
The gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am -5pm and admission is free.
